Thanks so much Rachel I can't wait to get my stamps, paper and Welcome sign!

New cake supplies

So at Joann's last week I talked my husband into buying my the next cake course supply kit. Now I haven't signed up for the class yet, but I wanted all the supplies and I had a coupon that made it half off! So I made flowers this week. The close up pictures came out a little blurry so only two pictures which are group shots.

Last night I made my own fondant and let me tell you it is GOOD! I usually hate fondant but this is a marshmallow one, and so good. So I'm making ribbons this week and prob some more flowers to have on hand for future cakes and cupcakes.

Bathroom Update

So my bathroom is ALMOST complete! I just need to find some new bathmats, and get my vinyl printed. The vinyl will say "If I want to be alone, some place I can write, I can read, I can pray, I can cry, I can do whatever I want- I go to the bathroom." It is by Alicia Keys. And if you know me, you know this saying is so true for me!
I am so excited about this, because This is MY space! My husband doesn't really care for it, but He has his office, I get my bathroom. The rest of the house we have to share.

The Chandelier that I love that my husband hates. Painted, and then mod podged the candle sticks with the fabic.

Sayings for above the mirror. (mod podged the picture frames)

Made two valences, one for each window.

Again Mod podged a magazine rack.

And mod podged more fabic for a drawer liner, and old shoe box lids for dividers.

Had to touch up my Touch N Brush too!

I Have had so much fun doing this. I know that I have driven my husband insane, but oh well. :-)

While on vacation...

So this past week I was given the week off from work. So in order to help get my house under control I thought what better way than to do some crafts and have fun too!

I have been experimenting with Mod Podge. And I have found my new love! It started that I wanted to make a for a present to my boys adopted Mi Ma.... I wanted to make a Photo Rubik Cube. I couldn't find any photos that I liked that would fit. So that project has been put on hold.

And so I had this Mod Podge sitting there saying lets try me!

So I found a site that covered old diaper boxes with scrapbook paper! And I did and the first one didn't come out so pretty. The site showed to make a rounded edge( can't find that site now), and rounded edges are not so easy to cover with ribbon so I skipped that step.

But I have have gone on to cover the ugly sock box for all my loose socks ( I ran out of that ribbon, so its left topless until I get to the store)

a magazine holder for my bathroom,

using the beautiful leftover material from my sisters wedding to cover a new box to hold all my purses,

that same material to cover some old star hooks to match my purse box to hold my hats!

I am becoming a Mod Podge Queen!

Jean Skirt

I did it. In one afternoon while Noah watch Super Why and Nicklaus napped. I finally got the jean skirt that i so desperately needed. It was actually pretty simple once all is said and done. I just followed the directions from two sites http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-jean-skirt-out-of-jeans./ and this site http://www.sewing.org/html/jeans_skirt.html. I still might put a panel on the back of the skirt. But I haven't decided for sure yet.

Ode to my Touch N Brush

I LOVE my Touch N Brush.

Late one night while watching TV an infomercial came on talking about this magic new thing for your bathroom. The Touch N Brush. Instantly I fell in love and wanted one. Now I want everything I see in these wonderful and so exciting infomericals. So when I told Collin that I just had to have one, he laughed me off. Then when Courtney and I were at the store and I saw it sitting on the shelf right next to my wonderful snuggie, and smooth away I knew that it had to join my collection of useful things I never knew I wanted but always needed. I debated if I should really buy it... No Collin will give me a hard time about spending $15 on such a ridiculous thing. (his words not mine).

Then Christmas night came...time to open gifts at the in-laws. And what do I find in my pile of presents. A TOUCH N BRUSH!!! My wonderful mother-in-law got one JUST for me! It fast became my favorite gift ever!

And last night as I lay in the tub, i looked up and saw this glorious wonderful white cylinder. And I can still say that it really lives up to its name. And I love my Touch N Brush. Its been over 6 months and it still brings a smile to my name.

Oh how much I love you Touch N Brush. Thank you for bringing so much light and joy into my bathroom.

Las Vegas

I am so far behind on my blogging it is not even funny. Oh well. If you really want to know what we have been up to. Call me! lol
So for memorial day the boys and I decided to take a couple days off work and head to Vegas to go see my momma! Noah was so excited to go see Taylor he kept asking if we were at Taylor's house yet. And then telling me how him and Taylor are going to sleep in his sleeping bag, and ride on Poppa Z's tractor and go swimming. They boys were so good driving there. Didn't cry or fuss and just sat and played with their toys and talking to each other. Then we hit the Dam. I HATE crossing the dam in the late afternoon on a holiday weekend. It took us two hours of sitting in line just to cross the damn dam (lol) And all was good until Noah told me he had to pee. Well there is no place for us to pull over so Noah learned how to pee in a bottle. He wasn't sure about it at first but then he thought is was so funny he kept laughing, and asked if we could do it again. Did I mention that I LOVE having boys!

Hudson and Taylor both came over to play and one thing that Grandma Shell made the boys do before we could go swimming was picking up pine cones. If you have ever seen my parents front yard you would understand. They have at least 10-12 pine trees all over the yard. When Noah saw what they had to do he said “WAIT!! I need my easter basket!” Ran inside and grabbed a basket. To my surprise I think the boys would have picked up pine cones all day if they could have.

Ever since Noah saw the Special Agent Oso episode about how to pick strawberries he wants to go pick strawberries. He will go out to our yard and pretend to do so. So when he found out that Grandma Shell has strawberries he could go pick! He was so excited! When we went inside Nicklaus saw the strawberries and got so mad because he didn’t have one. Once Noah gave him one life was all good again.

My friend Sara and her little girl Kate came over to play/visit with us. The kids had so much fun playing together. Kate learned how to deal with boys. Nicklaus fell in love with Kate and Sara and I had a blast just talking and catching up.

To our surprise my uncle Howard, Aunt Cheryl, Cousin Matt and his wife Courtnie were in town too. So that was fun to be able to see them. We also went swimming one day and had a BBQ at my brothers house. The best part of the trip for Noah was 1. riding on poppa z's tractor 2. feeding the chickens and finding eggs. 3. picking strawberries.

It was a great trip and we had a blast!
