Noah went to Kindergarten

This is my Noah. Yesterday he grew up more in one day then ever before.
He started Kindergarten.
He is now officially a Titan.

I awoke at 5:30a to this

So I got up got dressed  and we had his requested pancake breakfast.
Then he rushed off brushed his teeth and came back to announce that we were "LATE FOR SCHOOL!!! HURRY!!" Then I reminded him that we had an hour before the gates would even open up for school.
Finally as 7:15 rolled around I told him we can start loading up for school. He allowed me to take a couple of pictures (but not to many because I would make him late)

 Hence this face

Here he is outside of his building

HI MOM!!

Holding a bubble with his duck tails

Walking in to his first day of school!!!
Noah had a wonderful first day of school! He played on the computers, got to see the whole school, went to music class, read stories and even got homework!!

He was so excited for his first "real" homework and I wonder how long that is going to last.

And then when it came time to go pick him up the little mister was supposed to wait till it was
my turn to pick him up. Instead as soon as he saw my car he raced down the sidewalk
as fast as he could to come meet me!

And to make his day even better we got to go have lunch at his most FAVORITE place ever!
Native New Yorker.

(I think he like it because there are TVS on the wall)

All in all he had a wonderful first day.
And mom survived the first day... somewhat.

UPDATE (8/24/2012): 2nd day of school did not go as well as the first. He did get a note sent home for not listening and not following directions. But on a happier note, we have NOT received anymore notes since.

Happy Birthday T!!

This is T. aka Peanut

He lives in Las Vegas and I miss him all the time. Today he will be my favorite nephew; partly because
1. 2 of my 4 nephews don't read. and
2. My other favorite nephew who lives in utah doesn't read my blog.

Taylor is my first baby. I say this because he is the one who got me ready for motherhood. Who introduced me on how to rock a baby to sleep, how to change a diaper WITHOUT getting peed on as well as how to change a diaper on a wiggly toddler who does NOT want to wear a diaper.
He taught me the importance of finding those bottles that little kids have a way of hiding. Of putting stuff up high and learning to let go when they do get into stuff that they shouldn't.
I was lucky enough to watch T just about every friday night for the first year of his life. I loved it. We got to have Auntie and T time.
He was there when we got to see the first ultrasound of Noah, and the look on his face as he tried to make out if we were lying that there really was a baby in my belly because it does NOT look like a baby. And then he turned his attention to my toes and asked why I had a bug on my foot (my star tattoo)
When T got ready to go to kindergarten I remember think how grown up he is, I can't believe how old and how big he has gotten! Then I promptly convinced him that at kindergarden he would learn how to become a tree because he was a boy and all the girls learned how to become flowers.
Then once he finished the school year and he still didn't know how to become a tree I told him he had to go back and repeat kindergarten until he learned.

One of my favorite things to do when I go to Vegas is go pick T up from school. My boys and I play on the play ground and then watch and see if we can surprise T that we came to get him. And without fail I am always surprised to see this big goofball of a kid run up and give me a hug!

Now T is turning 9.
I look around amazed how tall he is, how smart he is and how my little munchin could be as tall as I am.
How we wear the same size shoe, and how everytime I look at him I think he should only be 4yrs old.
T I am amazed and that man you are becoming, the heart and the strength that I see in you. I love you and your sense of humor and thankful that both my boys consider you one of their best friends. Thank you for being my favorite nephew who can read in Las Vegas. I miss you and love you more than you will ever know. Happy Birthday from your FAVORITE Aunt (who lives in Arizona)

Did you ever get in trouble as a child? What was the worst thing you ever did?

Did you ever get in trouble as a child?
What was the worst thing you ever did?

I NEVER got in trouble as a child....according to Melissa; partly because I blamed everything on her. She's the youngest so she deserves it right?? That is how I wish things really happened, but sadly no. I don't remember really being in trouble a lot as a kid. But when I became a teen I was all the time. From stealing the car, to borrowing money (without asking and no intent on returning), sneaking out...
There was two months my sophomore year of HS I was grounded the entire time. I would get grounded for a week, do something else and then get grounded for 2. And so on and so on. But after those horrible months I don't think I really got in trouble again after that. Maybe because I got better at hiding all my misdoings. And I got REALLY good at getting home just in time for curfew. I mean I would walk into the door 1 or 2 mins to spare. I had things timed down!
Except for this one time I was 16, fell asleep at my boyfriends house (really we did while watching a movie) woke up in a panic because it was about an hour after I was supposed to be home. I raced home, and I mean RACED. The cop who couldn't catch up with me after he saw me run a stop sign can attest to how fast I was going (70-80mph in a 45). As I turned the corner I saw him and then pulled over and waited. Of course I had forgotten my wallet at home - couldn't find my insurance card. He asked for my home # to call my parents to verify who I was- I begged him to talk to my mom and not my dad. My dad would not be so nice to me at 10pm (sunday night curfew) but my mom would wait till we were alone to yell. Strangely enough this AWESOME cop let me go with a ticket to go to court and show my insurance. THAT WAS IT!!! (I love that cop to this day!) and he didn't even call my parents!
When I got home I started crying as soon as I walked into my parents room showed my mom the ticket and she told me to go to bed we'd talk in the morning. THAT WAS IT!
We never really talked about it, a week later we went to court showed my insurance card and done. Moral of the story, if your going to get into trouble get pulled over and have the cop let you off and your parents will follow suit!
Other than some of the normal teenager things I didn't really do anything that bad. I blame (accredit??)  it on being in band. Seriously how many band nerds do you know who really get in trouble. It was the drama and the journalism people that had the major stories of HS delinquencies.

Batman's Mommy

So it is no secret that my boys LOVE Super Heros. They dress up daily. And when I tell them they can't dress up today they have melt downs. And then they turn their shirts backwards and add capes. Example see the Mario & Luigi shirts. The best days are when I wear my Batgirl shirt and the boys dress up like Batman & Robin.

Even Maggie joins in the fun

Captian America & Bucky

Not quick sure, but they had so much fun this night!

Nicklaus the photographer

I got an iphone and I LOVE it!! Except for the little camera feature on front. You know the one where you can take pictures without unlocking your phone... Nicklaus on the other hand LOVES this feature! He finds my phone each morning and helps himself to take pictures/videos of everything! Usually just of himself, sometimes Noah joins the fun, but mainly Nicklaus likes self portraits. I often have to delete up to 100 pictures of him and the ceiling fan. Or I wake to him sitting next to my bed and I hear my phone clinking over and over again.

No good at blogging

I hate writing. period. I started a blog thinking maybe I would start "keeping a journal" hahahaha just like all the other 20 I have started and stopped through the years. At least with this one if I stop for awhile I can start again and it all be in the same place. So with the spirit of "trying" to keep my personal history I found a list of questions this lady gave her grandmother in a composition book and then years later she received it back. I want my boys to know about me. All the fun, ugly and in between. Ever watch How I Met Your Mother.... Like that, except with my memory I won't be able to give my kids a play by play of every day of my life like Ted does. Anywho here goes.
Question 1. When and where were you born?

Simple enough. Las Vegas, NV May 11th 1984 10:05am
My mom had 6 kids, I am fourth child, second girl; the son my father never had and the one nobody ever told.  The house I remember living in was  2500(??Is that right??) Indian Sage in Las Vegas. When I was in second grade we moved into the house my parents live in now. So essentially I grew up in the middle of no where! The closest kids where some boys, Marshal who was Josh's age and Micah who was Mel's age. Micah came over to play but he was a gross boy. And not just in the eeewww he's a boy, but he would tell us stories the were disgusting and cuss and just not someone my sisters (Devin and Mel) and I liked to hang out with. So a few years later when Tia and Heather Stephens moved in down the street we were so excited!!! Girls to play with. Roller blading for hours (once the street became paved. BEST. DAY. EVER!!!! Watching movies, listening to music and dancing.
Needless to say my childhood was deprived from outside children. I think this is why I have a hard time getting to know people. Growing up I never had to meet people. Thanks mom and dad!

I loved my childhood. I got to learn to do things (like how to carve a pig, lay piping, drive a tractor) that most people never get to do. I got to say my best friends were my sisters and still can say that. I got to drive 30min to school with my brother every morning of my freshman yr of HS. I grew up in Las Vegas; but I am country through and through.
